Water hardness

Water hardness is the result of naturally occurring calcium and magnesium salts. Water containing small amounts of these salts is said to be soft, whilst hard water contains greater levels. You can use our postcode search tool to find out about the drinking water quality in your area, or checking on our In Your Area website.
